Coifs are head coverings that protect the skull, ears, neck, and some of the shoulders.  Coifs come in varying shapes and sizes and will vary in price.

U shaped coifs - These coifs have excess maille that hangs down to the chin. (see below photo).

Standard coifs - These coifs have a square hole for the face.

I can make a shoulderless coif and attach it to a shirt or build a shirt off of a coif.  The latter is more expensive and requires much more time and skill to make but are a slightly better shirt than other shirt - coif combinations.  My coifs will vary in price from $200 to $400 depending on complexity and time required to make.

When asking for a quote please include the following measurements:

1) Head Circumference

2) Height of the Face

3) Width of Face

4) Length of the mantle (From the chin downwards.)

5) Circemference of the mantle.  Measure out the length of the mantle to your soulders, chest, and back and measure the circumference around you on those points.
