Sized Welded Shirts -

I can make shirts in the following sizes in addition to custom sizings. If you are going to buy a shirt in one of the following sizes please remember that maille doesn't stretch when you breath. So, when in doubt, get a larger size, or get a custom shirt. Custom shirts will fit you better and aren't always more expensive. If you want a medium shirt but with a larger head, smaller sleeves, and shorter length then it will generally cost less than it originally would. All listed shirts have sleeves of about 8 inches. See bottom of page for tips on how to reduce weight, cost, and production time.

Custom

My custom shirts come in two different shapes

Normal - These shirts are made from a rectangle with a hole for a head (like a poncho).  The sides are stitched closed and sleeves may be added.  These shirts can have custom features like leather trim, a leather fastened neck and chest, or a leather fastened side.  Our sized shirts come in this shape

Mantle Style - Mantle shirts are a combination of a coif and a shirt in the same piece.  They are more difficult to make and are avaibable in custom only.

I will need the following measurements to make a shirt:

1) Largest circumference of the Chest at the armpits and at the Heart.

2) Circumference of the Waist and Hips.

3) Smallest hole that your Head will fit through comfortably.

4) Bicep at full flex.

5) Smallest opening your Hand will fit through.

6) Desired Length of the shirt from top of shoulder.

7) Desired Sleeve length.

8) Front (from left to right armpit across Chest)

9) Back (from left to right armpit along the back)

10) Armpit width.

11) Shoulder circumference.
